Fabian Pettig, Uwe Krause, Elena Flucher, and Pauline Hennig represented our project and the participating partners at the 35th International Geographical Congress 2024 in Dublin from 24–30 August 2024. The session led by Fabian Pettig and Uwe Krause on ‘Geographical Education: Geography Teachers and the Challenges of the Anthropocene’ included exciting presentations and interesting discussions on perspectives on education in the Anthropocene. Elena Flucher and Pauline Hennig were also able to present initial results from the first phase of research in geography lessons and interviews with teachers. The numerous other contributions and workshops provided an opportunity for exchange and networking with national and international experts from all over the world.
